Another run-around is happening with the cars, but thankfully we had some leftover vegetarian chili in the freezer. It heated up quick, and I topped 1/2 a sweet potato with it. Paired with a cup of milk, it was absolutely delicious! :) Slightly unphotogenic, yes..ha...but very tasty! I like the sweet and spicy flavor combination.
For dessert I had a dark ganache chocolate from godiva. Perfect finish. :)

i havent had a sweet potato in forever....and it's one of my favorite foods!
Just wondering what brand of sandwich bread you like? (Which did you use for breakfast?)
Happy studying to us both! : )
Hi, I just found your blog from Kath's it looks great! Do you have a brand of pita, wraps, or bread that your recommend?
Also, do you clean your own lettuce or buy bagged? Any salad dressing you recommend? Thanks!
emma---For breakfast I used Thomas's whole wheat square bagels. I love the size, and they're great for sandwiches (keep me full much longer then bread!)
For regular sandwich bread, I like Stop & Shop's line of Natures Promise breads, and usually opt for the whole wheat because it tends to be softer then the others. For a nice change though, I also like Arnolds' Dark German Wheat (taste like pumpernickle!) :)
Amy---Thanks! :) If you have a Stop & Shop nearby, I really recommend Natures Promise for breads. They also make a whole wheat wrap which is in the refrigerator section.
The best tip to keep in mind when looking for wraps is that many times (not all), the wraps that are being refrigerated will be the better choice for taste and health. The ones NOT being refrigerated oftentimes contain hydrogenated oils, but of course this isn't always true. For pitas, I like using Thomas or Joseph's...both are yummy! :)
I used to buy heads of lettuce and wash them, but the stores that I go to haven't had the greatest produce lately AND, the bagged mixed greens taste so much better. :) I love it when they have spinach and beet leaves all mixed in....
Salad dressings that I love are Ken's Lite Olive Oil vinaigrette and Seeds of Change; Organic Greek Feta vinaigrette (this ones found in the health section.)
